Please note that bats and their roosts are legally protected in the UK. It is an offence to:
- Take, injure, or kill a wild bat.
- Damage or destroy a place used by bats for breeding or roosting, even when bats are not present.
- Obstruct or block access points used by bats.
Offences may result in prosecution, with fines and/or imprisonment depending on the circumstances.
